How a hang is laid out
Board runs perpendicular to the framing so seams land on stud centers and fall away from door and window corners, where movement concentrates. Ceilings go up first, walls tight to them, screws set to depth rather than dimpled through the face paper. On 24" o.c. ceiling framing we specify 5/8" board to stop the sag that shows up under raking light a year later.
Board specification by room
Living space takes standard 1/2" board. Garage-to-house separation walls and ceilings under living space take Type X fire-rated 5/8". Bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basement perimeters take moisture-resistant board, with cement board behind tile. We confirm the assembly against the plan before a single sheet is cut.
Additions and second-floor build-outs
Full room hangs coordinated around the electrical and insulation inspections so the crew is not waiting on trades.
Gut renovations
Demolition debris out, framing checked for plumb and crown, then hang, tape, and finish to a paint-ready surface.
Ceilings only
Removal and replacement of failed plaster or water-stained board without disturbing the wall finish.
- Hang, tape, finish, sand: one crew, no handoffs
- Level 4 standard, Level 5 on request
- Screw pattern and seam layout to code
- Debris hauled the day we finish

Highly recommend! Ralph did a great job in my basement. Great quality work!
Ralph and his assistant were outstanding. Punctual, neat, professional. They rebuilt badly cracked plaster — I would hire them again.
Ralph is punctual, responsible, and works very well. Drywall repair plus painting — highly recommend Mega Fame.
